Last week we were notified that we had won the Spectrum Award 2016 City Beat News Customer Satisfaction Award. Why is this award so valuable to businesses? There are hundreds of websites posting feedback and ratings for almost everything on the market today. Millions of people are using these sites before deciding which businesses, products and services to trust. These sites are geared at protecting consumers, yet businesses’ reputations are left extremely vulnerable. A few years ago business owners needed help protecting their reputations, which are often too easily tarnished through false user review entries by competitors and disgruntled employees. In response, City Beat News established a unique rating system that establishes one comprehensive, unbiased rating for the entire year.
How are businesses rated? The fully staffed and highly qualified Ratings Division spends thousands of hours scouring the Internet to calculate business ratings. This annual score is based on all available resources including consumer-review websites and blogs, social networks, business-rating services, and industry resources to determine the top consumer-rated businesses throughout the United States. This is a very elite award with less than 10% of researched companies reaching award status.

We know it’s Oregon and we know that rain is what keeps the Pacific Northwest green, but really? Do we have to have THIS much rain to accomplish this feat? Just a few rays of sunshine would help us to pull through the wet, grey weather. Unfortunately, the forecast isn’t boding well for your hairdos. Even extra firm hairspray won’t be able to keep the elements at bay, so maybe just look at the next few days as an opportunity to give your hair a break from the flat iron and to utilize the time saved to get some extra sleep. Your hair (and body) will appreciate the break, and we know that good hair weather is around the corner. We just may have to hang on to our hats and umbrellas until then!
All of us at Ritual love what we do. We love building relationships with you, our clients; we love being a part of our clients lives. We love helping you to look your best and feel your best. We love the laughter, stories, camaraderie and friendships that are formed between all of us. We see many of you out in the community and we even see some of you socially. We are so very fortunate to come to ‘work’ each day, do what we love, and go home feeling that in some small way, we’ve made your day brighter.
When you send us your family members, your co-workers and your friends, it is truly the highest compliment you could pay us. You like us and you trust that we will take care of the other people in your life. It is like getting a gold star on our star chart, each time we have a referral come through our doors.
When you send us thank you cards or bring in a gift of appreciation, we are flattered and touched that you would spend the time to think of us, outside of the time you spend within the salon.
All of those things are delicious icing on an already sweet cake, that is our salon life.
When we are recognized publicly, by an outside source, such as Best of City Search, who has given us an award each year we’ve been in business, it is an extra little boost to our day and energizes us to continue to provide you, our clients and friends, with outstanding service and a really good time when you are at Ritual.
This week, we were notified that we have received the 2015 Best Businesses of Hillsboro award, which is awarded to all different types of businesses, but only one business from each category. We are are thrilled and honored to accept this award that recogizes Ritual as THE best place to get your salon services done in Hillsboro. I’d also like to take a moment to say that it is only with the cooperation and team work of all of the staff at Ritual that an award like this is possible. We are lucky to have the team we have and will continue to work hard to earn your referrals, appreciation and friendships!
